Murchison Falls National Park historic site can only be accessed from the South Bank, and it takes about a 15-20-minute drive from Sambiya River Lodge. Murchison Falls National Park protects lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, Uganda kob, warthogs, bushbucks, hyenas, and waterbucks, as well as many bird species. The dramatic world’s waterfalls plunge 45 meters and pass through a narrow 6-meter stream.

The Uganda Wildlife Boats usually offer two sessions that start at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Murchison Falls National Park offers an abundance of hippos, elephants, crocodiles, Cape buffalo, giraffes, and numerous bird species. Travelers can also spot the rare shoebill stork on a lucky day.
