Volunteering Experiences

Participate and make a difference in the lives of the Ngamba 49 chimpanzees by becoming one of the vital chimp charms for the day to man’s closest relative by taking good care of their welfare, such as preparing their food, cleaning where they stay, environmental enrichment, record keeping, behavior observation, and community work.

Student summer camp/study trips

Ngamba Island students’s camp gives sanctuary adventures to children aged 10–17 during school breaks. Ngamba Island Adventures offers three-day-long courses with different themes, designed to foster a mutual understanding of practical skills and appreciation of chimpanzee behavior, conservation, and other global environmental issues. Learners take lessons from the experienced staff, including caregivers, veterinarians, and educators.

Fishing cruises

Participate in hooking the Nile Perch on Lake Victoria, one of Africa’s largest freshwater bodies. Fishing is either a half-day or a full-day fishing activity on Lake Victoria.
