UMVA Muhazi believes that the new communities we create in life are what drive the most remarkable experiences we have. Every night at precisely 7:00 PM, the community dinner kicks off, where a variety of courses made with carefully chosen, locally sourced ingredients are served, some of which come from our garden in partnership with Pride Farms. UMVA Muhazi promises you'll remember your supper with them and is confident you'll make some friends by the conclusion of the meal.

UMVA Muhazi Head Chef Bachu is originally from Rwanda's Eastern Province; he draws inspiration for his recipes from throughout the globe. The head chef Bachu culinary adventures started years ago at a Ugandan hotel, the Middle East, and back to his own country of Rwanda, where he intends to stimulate the country's culinary sector. Bachu believes that enthusiasm is the key to delicious meals.

Our four birdhouses, each designed to maximize space efficiency and reduce environmental impact, showcase the advantages of living in a tiny house. They are made up of a built-in restroom underneath a soft, lofted bed. Both singles and couples can stay at The Birdhouses.

On top of the teak shower floor, the bathroom features a solar-heated rainfall shower. You can use the toilet with a view if you'd like by opening the bathroom's bottom sliding door. The fittings in the bathroom are made of muvula wood with steel accents, and the décor is pine wood from Kibuye Woods.

Both the bedroom and the bathroom in the pod have a front-facing view of the lake. To maximize the UMVA wellness experience, the units have generous sleeping quarters, a private balcony, and an amazing bathroom design with views of Lake Muhazi. The lighting was carefully considered and created to blend in with the rammed earth while giving visitors a sense of complete immersion in the outdoors.

Sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows project the vast Lake Muhazi onto a very comfortable and shaded living space. The apartment features a dining table, a large balcony, plenty of bed space, and an amazing bathroom design that maximizes the UMVA Muhazi wellness experience. The area is roughly 750 square feet with thoughtfully placed components.

The activities in and around UMVA Muhazi will excite eco-adventure enthusiasts to no end. This magnificently unexplored region offers a plethora of activities, ranging from calming yoga classes to exhilarating mountain bike excursions. From discovering the communities of Rwamagana to going on kayaking trips and getting soothing massages.

If you want to explore the area outside of our hotel, you may drive to some beautiful places like Umusambi Bird Village and Akagera National Park.
